Windows 7 Can't Connect to Server 2008 or XP? Solution!

Hi there.

I just installed a new Windows 7 computer and was preparing it for the user that is to receive it. I had one more application to install over the network but I could not see the server (Windows server 2008). I tried everything I could find on the internets and nothing worked. I finally came up with an idea to map to IP address.

I clicked map network drive and typed in the server address and share name (ec: 192.168.1.7\ShareName) and clicked finished, suddenly I could see all the xp machines and the missing server in the list of computers in my network. I made sure and clicked "reconnect" and restarted to have a look. It reconnected fine and is available, but the XP machines are still unavailable. If you have a static IP environment, this is a fix, if you don't this is perhaps a bit more frustration. I do not have a fully static environment, but the server in question does have a static IP so I consider this problem solved ...for now.

UPDATE: Go to your DHCP server's address pool, right click, "new exclusion range", add the static IP of your DHCP server to that. You only have to add in the "from" field, leave the "to" field blank and it will only exclude that IP from distribution. It seems that devices that are not windows devices like to acquire the IP of the DHCP server for some reason. If this doesn't solve your problem, proceed to the steps below.

Dead Givaway, Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus, Charles Ramsey, Michelle Knight, and The Gregory Brothers

This is about people downloading other people's videos and uploading them as their own creation, without permission. Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus, and Michelle Knight were found thanks to people like Charles Ramsey. After that, there was an initial interview, (which went viral on youtube) so a very creative auto tune was made for it. (video below) Many people downloaded, and then re-uploaded it a their own youtube video (presumably for buffering their video count). Now I don't know if the original posters of the video (The Gregory Brothers) even care, but to me, it is wrong. Youtube seemingly permits copyright claims from anyone that want to claim one, (happens to me all the time [with my own songs]), Why not here? This is obvious and blatant. I wont post all the reposts, but I will post what I think to be an acceptable use of the original remix video. Call me crazy, but when you put an original change to the video, it becomes original, yet youtube flags for that too. Where does it end???

The following videos are as follows:
1. The original news video [probably not from the original source]

2. The original remix

Search "dead giveaway Charles Ramsey" and you will see the culprits.

3. An actual bit or artwork which I think is acceptable as a cover of the "remix".
Original Video Credit: NOT SURE (but they are news, and not a little guy, (which is who I'm looking out for here).
